More than £8,000 worth of illegal e-cigarettes were seized in Wolverhampton, England, involving the e-cigarette brand "HAYATI"

The Wolverhampton City Council in England seized thousands of illegal cigarettes, e-cigarettes and tobacco products in multiple stores, including "HAYATI" brand e-cigarettes, with an estimated retail value of 8,260 pounds. At present, the city council is investigating the relevant suppliers and will take action against the owners of the places involved.

 

According to the BBC report on July 26, the Wolverhampton City Council in England seized thousands of illegal cigarettes, e-cigarettes and tobacco products in stores across the country. The e-cigarette products seized involved the e-cigarette brand "HAYATI".

 

After receiving a series of complaints, the local police said that 2,280 contraband cigarettes, 8.1 kilograms of banned oral tobacco and snuff, and about 550 illegal e-cigarettes were found under the floor of one of the raided stores.

 

The city council said it was investigating the relevant suppliers.

 

The Wolverhampton City Council said that the retail value of the seized e-cigarettes was estimated at 8,260 pounds, and they added that they would take action against the owners of the places where these products were seized.
