E-cigarettes continue to cause health crises. Russian State Duma deputies propose legislation to ban e-cigarettes

Vitaly Mironov, deputy chairman of the Russian State Duma Committee on Family Protection, Fatherhood, Motherhood and Children's Affairs, proposed to ban e-cigarettes at the legislative level. He believes that the country has entered a period of e-cigarette proliferation and reminds people of the harm of e-cigarettes to the body.
According to Gazeta on July 29, Vitaly Mironov, deputy chairman of the Russian State Duma Committee on Family Protection, Fatherhood, Motherhood and Children's Affairs, proposed that e-cigarettes should be banned at the legislative level. He believes that the current situation of e-cigarette proliferation is like a plague and reminds people of its harm to health.
Mironov emphasized at the NSN News Center: "Our country has entered an e-cigarette plague, and these products are being sold in every corner." He pointed out that there is no clear research to show what kind of damage e-cigarettes cause to health, but there are some worrying signs. Mironov believes that the main problem is that people become addicted to e-cigarettes faster. Although the smell of e-cigarettes is not as bad as that of cigarettes, they can quickly make smokers dependent on "large amounts of nicotine."
Previously, doctors warned that "flavors" (synthetic cannabinoids) and heavy metals in e-cigarettes are carcinogenic to endocrine glands. E-cigarette vapor contains more than 30 dangerous substances, many of which, such as propylene glycol, accumulate in the human body, causing allergies and purulent infections, and damaging the function of the liver and kidneys.
