Changde Municipal People's Congress Finance and Economics Committee held a research seminar on consumption tax reform

Many local departments and the Tobacco Monopoly Bureau, tobacco companies, and wine companies participated in the symposium.

On September 4, the Municipal People's Congress Finance and Economics Committee (Budget Working Committee of the Standing Committee) held a research symposium on consumption tax reform. Yin Zhengxi, deputy director of the Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee and first-level inspector, attended the meeting.

At the meeting, the Municipal Finance Bureau, Municipal Commerce Bureau, Municipal Taxation Bureau, Municipal Tobacco Monopoly Bureau (Company), Hunan China Tobacco Changde Cigarette Factory, Hunan Wuling Liquor Co., Ltd., and Hunan Deshan Liquor Co., Ltd. elaborated on the current status and reform expectations of consumption tax from a professional perspective around their industry fields, analyzed the impact that consumption tax reform may have on the development of enterprises in Changde, tax source cultivation, tax collection and management, and put forward some relevant opinions and suggestions in a targeted manner.

Yin Zhengxi emphasized that we must fully understand the bottom line, especially the assets of key industries and key tax items, and calculate the economic accounts; we must base ourselves on the actual situation in Changde, conduct in-depth research and analysis on the consumption tax reform, and comprehensively clarify the series of impacts that may have on our city; we must plan response measures in advance, make sufficient plans for the consumption tax reform, and take the initiative; we must focus on prominent issues, maintain the bottom line of the base, and actively strive for policy support.
