Cannabis cart

"Cannabis cart" (a type of electronic cigarette cartridge for cannabis) is the abbreviation for cannabis electronic cigarette cartridges. It is a device that contains pre-filled high-concentration cannabis extract for vaping.

It is becoming increasingly popular among young people, but it also comes with significant health risks and legal issues, especially in China.

What is "Cannabis Cart"?
Core components: It usually consists of a transparent glass or plastic "cartridge" (Cart) pre-filled with cannabis oil and a reusable battery base. The battery heats the vaporizer in the cartridge, converting the oily substance into inhalable vapor.

Main components: The oil in the cartridge is a highly concentrated cannabis extract, mainly containing two cannabinoids:

THC (tetrahydrocannabinol): It has psychoactive properties and is the main component that causes "high" or hallucinatory sensations after consumption.

CBD (cannabidiol): It does not have psychoactive properties and does not cause feelings of pleasure. The THC concentration in the market can be as high as 70%-90%.

⚖️ In China: Legal red line, do not touch
In China, cannabis and all its products are strictly prohibited. Carrying or using "cannabis cart" is a serious illegal act.

Clearly classified as a drug: According to the "People's Republic of China Criminal Law" and the "Drug Control Law", cannabis is classified alongside heroin and other drugs as a drug.

Regardless of quantity, it involves criminal liability: The law clearly stipulates that smuggling, trafficking, transporting, or manufacturing drugs, regardless of quantity, should be subject to criminal responsibility. This means that even carrying a cartridge containing THC can lead to criminal penalties.

Zero tolerance by customs: News of customs seizing such items is frequent. Cannabis and its extracts, such as THC and CBD, are all prohibited from entering the country.

New drug carrier: Criminals often add synthetic cannabinoids and other components to ordinary e-cigarette oil to make what is known as "ecstasy e-cigarettes". These products are even more harmful, and after consumption, users may experience hallucinations, addiction, and other symptoms.

 Health risks and travel ban
In addition to legal risks, the health risks are also not to be ignored.

Health risks:

Lung damage: It may cause serious lung diseases, such as "e-cigarette or vaporizer product-related lung injury" (EVALI).

Heavy metal exposure: Studies have found that chromium, copper, nickel, and lead in the cartridges can migrate into the smoke oil and vapor and be inhaled.

Other toxins: Containing high concentrations of cannabinoids, pollutants, and harmful by-products generated by heating. Some products have also tested positive for vitamin E acetate used for thickening, which is one of the culprits causing EVALI.

Travel ban:

On any commercial flights, it is strictly prohibited to carry or use.

Even in countries or regions where cannabis is legal (such as some states in the United States), TSA (Transportation Security Administration) follows federal laws and considers cannabis as a prohibited item.
