A British wholesaler launched an e-cigarette delivery business covering well-known products such as ELFBAR and SKE

United Wholesale Scotland (UWS) has launched an e-cigarette delivery service, claiming to provide exclusive brands with a profit margin of up to 50% for retailers across the UK, including well-known brands such as ELFBAR, LOST MARY, SKE and IVG, and exclusive partner products to help British retailers expand their market.

According to Better Retailing on August 22, United Wholesale Scotland (UWS) has launched a new e-cigarette delivery business, claiming to enable retailers across the UK to obtain exclusive brands at "market-leading prices" and an average profit margin of 50%.

The service, called "United Vapes", was officially launched last week, offering core brands such as ELFBAR, LOST MARY, SKE and IVG, as well as products from exclusive partners such as Japanese manufacturer Gippro, with a total of 16 brands working with the company.

UWS said that "United Vapes" is open to retailers across the UK, and the goods are uniformly delivered by the UWS warehouse in Glasgow. There is no minimum order requirement, but orders over £150 are free of delivery. After dispatch, store delivery takes 2 to 7 days, with an additional paid option for next-day or Saturday delivery.

Chris Gallacher, UWS general manager, said the service is targeting tens of thousands of convenience stores across the UK.

"We have market-leading prices and a good range of products. E-cigarettes are a very important category in convenience retail, and now is the right time for us to go nationwide. We are always looking for new growth channels, and United Vapes can deliver warehouse prices directly to retailers' doors."

"We will send advertising emails directly to retailers, not just retailers within our own businesses, but will also target customers of some major competitors. We hope to help retailers across the UK grow in the e-cigarette category. We will offer a wider range of products than some competitors."

Louise McKenzie, UWS's e-commerce and marketing director, added that some brands working with wholesalers will be launched in the UK for the first time.

"One of these brands is Japanese company Gippro, which is one of the highest-selling e-cigarette companies in New Zealand, Australia and Central Asia. The brand is already in over 400 retail stores and is now available exclusively in the UK through United Wholesale Scotland."

"We will be working with partners to promote it across multiple points of sale in England. Some partnerships with specific suppliers will also offer exclusive deals – unmatched by any other company."

"United Vapes will be the sole distributor of the exclusive brands. We want to be at the forefront of the market and cement our position as a market leader in compliant e-cigarettes."
