On September 7, the 2024 Global Nicotine Pouch Industry Summit Forum was successfully concluded at the ANTY EXPO in Kuala Lumpur. This forum is the world's first international symposium on the entire industry chain of nicotine pouches. It invited entrepreneurs, experts, media, associations and other representatives from different countries to attend and discuss the development and future trends of nicotine pouches to promote the high-quality development of the industry under compliance.
On September 7, the 2024 Global Nicotine Pouch Industry Summit Forum was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This forum is the world's first international symposium on the entire industry chain of nicotine pouches. It invited entrepreneurs, experts, media, associations and other representatives from different countries to attend. The forum was held against the backdrop of the rapid growth of the global nicotine pouch market. According to the "2023 World Tobacco Development Report" of Oriental Tobacco News, nicotine pouches will continue to maintain rapid growth in 2023, with sales increasing by 43.5% year-on-year to 15.51 billion bags and sales increasing by 61.1% year-on-year to US$7.86 billion. Nicotine pouches have grown into a new branch of global new tobacco products.
The conference was hosted by Wen Jiarong, a researcher at the forum's partner media 2Firsts, and Leeon from Chiyang Exhibition, the organizer of ANTY EXPO. Leeon introduced ANTY EXPO as the opening guest, emphasizing that ANTY EXPO is a commercial exhibition platform dedicated to promoting the development and integration of the global new tobacco industry. Chiyang Exhibition predicts that nicotine bags will continue to grow rapidly in the next two years, developing in the direction of functional diversification and marketing diversification, and global market regulations will gradually be implemented.

Leona Zhu, executive editor of 2Firsts, gave a wonderful speech to the participants entitled "Welcome to the Explosion of New Categories: Global Nicotine Bag Development Trends and Suggestions". She pointed out that nicotine bags are continuing to grow, spreading from the European and American markets to emerging markets around the world, and will form a pattern of three major categories of HTP+EVP+OND. In the future, stricter supervision will be triggered, and there is a long way to go in technology research and development, and it is urgent to combat illegal trade.

Dr Meer, R&D Director of Nicoer Lab, delivered a keynote speech entitled "In-depth Analysis: Evaluating the Health Risks and Safety of Nicotine Pouches".
Dr Meer analyzed the health risks and safety of nicotine pouches using a SWOT approach, pointing out that compared with traditional cigarettes, nicotine pouches do not release harmful smoke, but at the same time may have the risk of nicotine addiction, and may have side effects such as gum irritation or hiccups. Under appropriate circumstances, they can be used as a smoking cessation tool. For non-smokers or minors, there is a risk of continued nicotine dependence, and the long-term impact on health is still unclear.
